Character Animation Dialogue

For this class we were to practice the 12 principles of animation as well as learn how to create fluid and correct lip syncs to a variety of dialogue choices. We utilized our own video reference to give life to our characters as well as storyboarding and pre-pro in order to ensure we had the best possible composition and poses. Through this I learned how to create a descent lip sync utilizing a rig's blend shapes and controls, and I studied how to create flowing follow through on my own. The rig was given to me to use for the project by Full Sail University.

Blockout- My goal for the blackout was to put down the key poses required for the animation. I decided upon three to perfect and strengthen.

Second Pass-I started putting in my anticipations, moving holds and breakdowns.

Final Project-I finalized my moving holds and anticipations, created follow through and finished with the mouth.

Pre-Pro- An example of some of the pre-pro I created for this project. This is where I was trying to hash out key poses.
